Anthony Eugene “Tony” Holloway died peacefully in his sleep Dec. 13, 2021, at Pioneer Health Care Center in Rocky Ford. Tony was born June 20, 1944, in Colorado Springs, the son of Theodore Elwood Holloway and Alma Theresa (Spohn) Holloway.

Tony graduated from Holyoke High School with the class of 1962 and served four years in the U.S. Army at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas.

He married Martha Ann Holloway in October 1972 and had two children, Gina Marie Holloway Mercer and Donahue Jerome Holloway. He is also survived by grandchildren, Ashton Morrison, Ethan and Isaac Mercer, and Crystal Holloway; siblings, Howard and Dixie Holloway and Ed and Carmen Holloway; and many loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Alma; brother, Donald “Ed”; and sister-in-law, Sharon Holloway.

Tony enjoyed fixing bicycles, collecting watches and playing scratch lottery tickets. Tony was a very kindhearted man that will be missed dearly.

A graveside service was held with immediate family on Jan. 8 at Monument Cemetery in Monument.
