Wilford Tomky - death notice

Wilford Tomky, longtime resident of the Lamar, Nebraska, area, died Saturday morning, Nov. 30, 2019, at the Wauneta Care and Therapy Center in Wauneta, Nebraska.He was 86 years of age.

Survivors include his son, Jim Tomky and wife Mary of Amherst; son, Bill Tomky and wife Chris of Lamar; daughter, Susan Castle and husband Larry of Imperial, Nebraska; son, Ken Tomky and wife Janet of Lamar, Nebraska; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday, Dec. 8, 2-6 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Holyoke. A rosary will then be recited at 6 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

The Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, Dec. 9, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, with Father Jerry Rohr and Father Bernard Lorenz celebrating. Interment will follow at the Greenlawn Cemetery in rural Lamar.

A memorial has been suggested to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
