Wilma Halbert

Wilma Loraine Halbert was born Nov. 11, 1938, to Raymond W. and Frances L. (Cunningham) Bailey in Greeley. She died Nov. 12, 2020, in Holyoke at the age of 82.

Wilma married Robert L. Halbert in Denver.

She graduated from Greeley High School and then attended the University of Northern Colorado, also in Greeley. Wilma worked as a commercial insurance underwriter and rater.

Wilma loved to read and was especially interested in history. She loved to crochet and embroider when she wasn’t reading.

Wilma participated in reading and selecting school essays for the Holyoke Grade School. Wilma belonged to the Jolly Dozen, Chapter 14 AARP and various other clubs.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Frances Bailey, and her sister, Norlene Bailey.

Wilma is survived by her husband, Robert Halbert of Norton, Kansas; daughter, Diana and spouse Bill Dewey of Washington; son, Michael Halbert and spouse Andria of Utah; son, Scott Halbert and spouse Cindy of Colorado; daughter, Tracie Darbin and spouse Rich of Oklahoma; son, Rodney Halbert and spouse Angie of Colorado; brother, Gary Bailey and spouse Glenda of Colorado; sister, Judy Macy and spouse Tony of Colorado; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

The funeral service was held Nov. 17 at the First Christian Church in Holyoke, with Pastor Michael Brown officiating. Interment followed at the Holyoke Cemetery.

Baucke Funeral Home directed the service.
