‘Unfinished Business’ closes the Bad Batch story arc with a literal bang

Star Wars: Clone Wars Episode 4 brings the Bad Batch, General Skywalker, Captain Rex and Corporal Echo to the Techno Union dreadnaught in orbit over Anaxis where Echo plans to sabotage the Separatists’ plans by creating a false signal within their own network. The burning question for everyone is whether or not Echo can be trusted after having his mind plundered by the Separatists for so long.

The plan is risky, for sure, but Echo is confident it will work. Generals Mace Windu and Obi-Wan Kenobi lead a garrison to the assembly plant on the surface and are very, very outnumbered (though that seems to be the Jedi sweet spot most of the time) and tensions run high as to what Echo’s next move may be.

Everything hinges on his loyalty and ability to execute his plan without jeopardizing the Bad Batch or the Jedi. And, like any good show, once they think they’re out of the woods, there’s always something waiting to surprise them.

I love the Bad Batch! Wrecker and Crosshair are my absolute favorites so far this season. They remind me of Gimi and Legolas from The Lord of the Rings with their constant contest of one-upmanship. We’re really starting to see Anakin’s darkness rising in his scene with Admiral Trench, and Mace Windu got an excellent scene where he (finally) attempted diplomacy rather than just jumping in and slashing everything with his lightsaber.
