Ahsoka and the Martez sisters find themselves between a rock and a hard place in Episode 8 of “Star Wars: Clone Wars.” The Pykes want their spice and clearly have someone breathing down their necks to get it back. Ahsoka strikes a deal: let Rafa and Trace leave Oba Diah to collect the spice and keep her as ransom. What the Pykes don’t know is they don’t have the spice at all and will need to procure more. Without giving away her secret, Ashoka tells the sisters to trust her and gives the Pykes a line of bantha doo-doo about not caring what happens to them as to avoid suspicion. The Martez sisters depart for Kessel while Ahsoka plans her escape from her cell.

On Kessel, Rafa is able to talk her way past a deck officer and get several crates of spice loaded onto their ship. She only runs into trouble when the officer’s manager arrives and confirms she is lying about a “special pickup.” He’s also twice her size and has no qualms about hitting a lady. Meanwhile, Ahsoka escapes from her cell and plants explosives all over the facility when she overhears a communication between the leader of the Pykes and the Sith apprentice Darth Maul who says he’s on Mandalore. What could he possibly be doing there? She nearly gives herself away when he appears to sense her presence.

Once the sisters return, Ahsoka reveals herself to be a Jedi, much to Trace and Rafa’s surprise. They are able to escape to Coruscant where they’re met by former members of Death Watch who implore Ahsoka to join them to investigate Maul’s intentions. After clearing the air with Trace and Rafa, she leaves with the Mandalorians for their home world.
