Letter to the Editor
As I sat outside, enjoying nature last evening, some little annoyances (little black gnats, no bigger than dots), offered their greetings, too. But then, I saw a butterfly alighting upon one of my last day of summer flowers, and I remembered a saying “Enjoy the butterflies of life.”
There are always going to be “gnats” in life that try and take the good and beauty away, but don’t forget the butterflies. Nature is our best teacher.
I think as I look at the beauty of the sunrises and sunsets of each day and then the little “gnats” alight upon me and bite and annoy me – ”How this little bit of a spot or dot can fly and bite?”
Then, I see the beauty and greatness of this sunset and sunrise each day – both miracles in their making! How can one not believe in a God? He is in charge and I’m so thankful for that. Enjoy your autumn days!
