Now is the perfect time to connect with your garden

As everyone is facing a challenging time period with COVID-19, turn to your garden and take some time for yourself. Staying present and enjoying the garden can help reduce your anxiety.  Here are some things you can do for your garden during spring.  

First, take a walk around your garden. See what needs your most urgent attention. Make a list to be sure you don’t miss anything. If you have fruit trees, trees or shrubs that need pruning, now is the time. I checked my flowering shrubs, and already the buds are swelling. Right before the tree’s buds start swelling is the perfect time to look at pruning projects, especially with apple, plum and cherry trees.
