3 school board seats up for election

    Three seats are up for election in Holyoke School District Re-1J in the Nov. 7 election. The terms of Kris Camblin, Patricia Wiebers and Nici Akey expire. Camblin, who has served two full elected terms after initially being appointed, is ineligible to seek re-election due to term limits. Wiebers plans to put her name on the ballot, and Akey is undecided at this time.
     Nomination petitions for those interested in seeking election are available at the administration office. The deadline to return those is Friday, Sept. 1, at 3 p.m. Nomination petitions require the signatures of at least 25 eligible electors who are registered to vote in the school election.
