3rd-6th represent at Fort Morgan brain bowl contest
Holyoke Elementary’s 2019 Brain Bowl team traveled to Fort Morgan on Feb. 2 to compete in the Sunrise Optimist Club’s 12th annual Brain Bowl. Several schools for northeast Colorado attended.
In the fifth- and sixth-grade division, Holyoke had two teams compete. The B team, made up of fifth-grader Teagan Martin and sixth-graders Ben Kleve, Leah Struckmeyer, Vianey Jimenez and Isabelle Kropp, placed fifth out of 16 teams.
Holyoke’s A team, comprised of fifth-graders Cozner Ring and Brandon Bustillos and sixth-graders Emma Sprague, Sawyer Sigler, Matthew Murray and Peyton Marlow, placed eighth.
