Back to school, back to safety

School starts this week, and Holyoke Police Chief Doug Bergstrom reminds both students and drivers to be cautious as they share the road.

The two major highways in Holyoke are especially dangerous places. Bergstrom said a good place for students to cross Interocean Avenue is at Kellogg Street by Holyoke City Park or at Hale Street. Those crossing Denver Street should cross at Morlan Avenue.
