Dragon’s Wagon Preschool to start 41st year Sept. 7

Dragon’s Wagon Preschool will kick off its 41st year Tuesday, Sept. 7, at the Phillips County Event Center location in Holyoke.

Director Marcia Walter said there are a few open spaces in the preschool sessions at this time. To get a student enrolled, call Walter at 970-854-2999.

The preschool is state-licensed and must adhere to regulations for enrollment, which limit the teacher-student ratio per daily session. Therefore it must enroll on a first-come, first-served basis.

Children ages 3 through pre-K who are not enrolled in kindergarten are eligible to enroll in the nonprofit, nonsectarian, nonpolitical preschool.

In addition to Walter, Dragon’s Wagon staff includes assistant director Brenda Juarez, aides Rosa Olivas and Nicole Barron, ELL aide Berenice Juarez and BOCES aide Alison Fust.

The High Scope curriculum, an approved Colorado Department of Education curriculum, is used at the preschool and is highly regarded by Walter.
