Emotions run high at choir concert
Smiles, laughter and even some tears filled the HHS auditorium Thursday, May 4, as the Holyoke JR/SR High School choirs presented their spring concert.
The choirs are under the direction of Marcia Dalton with help from Sound Check select choir director Maury Kramer and piano accompanist Sharon Strauss.
Selections sung by the high school choir included “Down to the River to Pray;” “Rise” with soloists Jessica Mosqueda, Jaqueline Mosqueda and Paola Ruiz; “Humble and Kind;” “Land of Our Dreams” with soloists Andrea Becerra, Ruiz, Tori Hatton and Grace Dille; and “Rocky Top.”
The junior high chorus performed “I’m a Believer;” “See You Again” with soloists Emali Torres and LorenJo Oberle; “Lightning;” “Better Place;” and “Try Everything” with soloists Miranda Schroetlin, Josie Schlachter, Mason Vernon and Arelys Arteaga.
