FBLA members honored for dedication, diligence shown in 2020-21
In a ceremony at the HHS center of innovation Thursday evening, April 29, Holyoke FBLA closed the 2020-21 year with a celebration of its members’ hard work and commitment. New officers for 2021-22 were installed.
FBLA president Joe Beckner began the ceremony and acknowledged the hard work of the 47 FBLA members, 14 of whom were new.
He pointed out that over 90% of Holyoke FBLA members qualified for state competition and nearly 40% of those competing at state qualified for nationals. He added that the Holyoke chapter had 17 students place in the top 10 at state.
FBLA adviser Lori Nelson presented individual awards.
Kylie Purkeypile received special recognition and thanks for her contribution to FBLA for four years as well as her service to Colorado FBLA as state District 4 vice president and state vice president of education.
