FCCLA attends dist.

    Twenty-one members of HHS Family, Career and Community Leaders of America attended the Northeastern Plains District FCCLA Leadership Conference in Merino Wednesday, Jan. 25.
    Tyler Lamm served as the outgoing 2016 district vice president/parliamentarian.
    Students from Merino, Sterling, Akron, Brush, Fort Morgan, Haxtun, Holyoke, Liberty and Yuma attended the conference.
    A state officer report was given by Sierra Edgar, the state secretary, and Carissa Kirschbaum, state vice president of recognition, both of Merino. Edgar reported that an advocacy day will be held at the state Capitol Feb. 16 and spoke about the FCCLA state conference, and Kirschbaum reminded students that FCCLA Week is Feb. 13-17.
