HHS National Honor Society inducts 14

In a Feb. 17 ceremony in the old gym, 14 HHS students were admitted to National Honor Society. Chapter president Joe Beckner welcomed the families and supporters, and officers Haley Van Overbeke, Amy Mackay, Ethan Andersen and Kylie Purkeypile spoke of the importance of the four pillars of NHS: scholarship, service, leadership and character. New members’ achievements were described, providing examples of how they embody the pillars of NHS. The new members then took the NHS pledge.
