Ho, Ho, Homecoming?

Students at Holyoke schools are in the thick of homecoming week activities, all leading up to volleyball, football and softball games this weekend.
HHS volleyball will play Chase County, Nebraska, on Thursday, Sept. 14, starting at 4 p.m. There will be varsity, JV and C team matches. Friday night the HHS football team will face Estes Park, with kickoff at 7 p.m. Dragon softball will have the final homecoming competition. A doubleheader against Akron will begin Saturday, Sept. 16, at 10 a.m.
The 2017 HHS homecoming theme is “Imagine the Dragons,” and students have been celebrating all week at school. From freshmen to seniors, the classes have their hallways decorated to show school spirit, and students have been dressing up for different themes each day. Monday they wore holiday-themed clothes, and Tuesday the dress was “country versus country club.” Wednesday’s theme is “people of the sea.”
On Thursday, classes wear their designated colors for homecoming olympics from 8:15 a.m.-noon. There will be closed campus lunch, and classes will decorate their parade floats Thursday afternoon.
