Holyoke Elementary wows parents with painting, sculpture and more at art show

Jessica Figueroa snaps a picture of a painted clay bowl made by Holyoke kindergartner Alyssa Moreno. Pictured from left, front row, are Yaneli Portillo and Moreno; and back row, Figueroa and Ian Portillo. During the annual end-of-year field day last Wednesday, May 22, Holyoke Elementary School students gave their parents a tour around the school gymnasium, where art made in all grade levels of Jade Goldenstein’s art classes was displayed. Art pieces included observational drawings by kindergartners and first graders, infographics by second graders, 3D installations by third graders, and a jigsaw puzzle and Renaissance-inspired artworks by fifth and sixth graders. All classes also made painted clay projects. — The Holyoke Enterprise | Johnson Publications
