Honor classes celebrate at alumni banquet

    While it was a smaller crowd of 48 that attended the Holyoke High School alumni banquet Sunday, May 26, at the Phillips County Event Center, a fun time was reported.
    Leona Schmidt Oltjenbruns, who graduated in 1941, was the oldest graduate present and was recognized for her continued support of the community.
    Class members were also present for the honor classes of 1949, 1954, 1959, 1964, 1969, 1979 and 2019.
    Two class members from the 1949 honor year were introduced, including Yvonne Meinte Wernet of Holyoke and Rose Schmidt Schaeffer of LaSalle.
