MMHF awards 8 scholarships

    Melissa Memorial Hospital Foundation has awarded eight scholarships for the upcoming school year. Two new scholarships have been founded in the last year, making a total of six different scholarships offered by the foundation. They are the MMHF Shirley Claymon Nursing Scholarship and the Paramedic Scholarship founded in memory of Stan Willmon.
    The MMHF Shirley Claymon Nursing Scholarship was founded in 2017 by her family to continue her legacy in being a nurse at MMH.This is the first year that this scholarship is being awarded.
    This year’s recipient, for one semester, is Tyler Loutensock, attending Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
    The Paramedic Scholarship founded in Memory of Stan Willmon was started by Willmon’s memorials through the request of his family in 2017. Last year’s first EMS Golf Tournament contributed the majority of the profit to this fund.
    This year’s recipient is Lisa Werts, attending Aims Community College in Greeley.
