New officers named in FBLA year-end awards video

Holyoke FBLA adviser Lori Nelson presented a virtual awards ceremony May 8 recognizing the accomplishments of members and sharing photo highlights from throughout the 2019-20 school year.

“We’re sad that this has to be done online,” she said, “but I couldn’t be more proud of my FBLA students.”

In the awards program, officers for the 2020-21 school year were announced, and those who received new-member, district, state and special awards were acknowledged.

Officers will be officially installed at the beginning of the next school year when it can be done in person. They are president Joe Beckner, vice president Lauren Herman, secretary Jimena Nuñez, treasurer Cade Killin, information officer Emmanuel Vasquez, fundraising coordinator Diego Jimenez, student council representative Gage Sprague and executive officer Kylie Purkeypile. Purkeypile was also recently elected vice president of education for the Colorado state officer team.
