NJC creates scholarship fund for children of alumni

    Northeastern Junior College is creating a new scholarship fund for children of the college’s alumni to help build and maintain its proud heritage of multi-generational alumni into the future.
    Initial monies for the fund are being generated by a community raffle in July. Pending proceeds from the raffle and subsequent donor solicitations, one or more awards will be given to prospective Northeastern students who enroll for the 2020-2021 school year.
    “We are proud of the fact so many people throughout our regional communities are graduates of Northeastern,” said Northeastern President Jay Lee. “Many of those families have generations of NJC alumni, and we want to build upon that heritage with a scholarship that recognizes them while making it a little easier for new generations to afford college.”
