NJC Heritage Center offers additional touring hours

The Northeastern Junior College Alumni Association is pleased to announce the NJC Alumni Heritage Center will be open to the public Mondays and Wednesdays 9-11 a.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays 1-3 p.m. All visitors must first check in at the bookstore in Hays Student Center.
The Heritage Center opened in 2004 on the second floor of Hays Student Center. It is a compilation of memorabilia from alumni, faculty, staff and community members who have a special connection to their time at Northeastern. The center has vastly grown over the years to include the original Plainsman Pete costume worn by Leland Seger, the first official Plainsman Pete in 1965, to the marble “Smith Hall” sign, the first official building purchased in 1945 and demolished in 1997. There are many wonderful and nostalgic treasures to be found throughout the center.
