Penzing awarded

    HHS senior Dominique Penzing was recognized Tuesday, May 8, when she was awarded the Ruth Henderson Memorial Scholarship.
    Director John Chapdelaine of the Eastern Colorado Community Fund, who is managing the scholarship, made the presentation to Penzing.
    The scholarship fund was established to honor Henderson’s life-long dedication to teaching and community service in northeastern Colorado. She was a teacher in Brush for 40 years until her retirement.
    This unique scholarship makes awards each year that cover tuition and fees based on a 15-credit-hour course load per semester at any accredited, publicly funded Colorado college or university of the student’s choice.
