Pink is the new green during Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Holyoke Dragons started Breast Cancer Awareness Month off right with a Pink Out event at the home sporting events Friday, Oct. 4. Above, Holyoke High School cheerleaders hold a pink banner just before the Dragon football team broke through for tunnel time. The volleyball girls also wore special pink jerseys, concession stand popcorn filled light pink paper bags, and fans of all ages left their green at home and wore pink to the event. MMH Foundation executive director Nancy Colglazier said the Pink Out event raised $1,443.43, which will help bring a 3D digital mammography machine to MMH. Contact Colglazier at 970-854-2241, ext. 2048, to make donations through October. T-shirts can still be purchased from the MMH radiology department at 970-854-2241.
