Redman earns doctorate

Whitni Kay Redman, Ph.D., a 2012 graduate of Holyoke High School, graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center with her doctorate in biomedical sciences with a concentration in immunology and infectious diseases.

She completed her dissertation titled “The Therapeutic Potential of Biofilm Dispersal in Wound Infections.”

Redman has accepted a postdoctoral research associate position at the Binghamton Biofilm Research Center at Binghamton University in Vestal, New York, to continue her research career in biofilm dispersal.

Redman is the daughter of Misti and Jason Redman of Holyoke.
