San Antonio hosts national FBLA
Ten students from Holyoke High School’s FBLA chapter earned the right to attend the national conference in San Antonio, Texas, June 28-July 4.
HHS participants included Josie Herman, Shianne Willmon, Emily Jelden, Lauren Herman, Joe Beckner, Kaylee Camblin, Victor Baeza, Jackie Valenzuela, Makenzie Martin and Lali Marquez, as well as adviser Lori Nelson and chaperone Marla Camblin.
The 13,000 students in attendance exchanged pins with competitors from all 50 states and several international chapters during the opening session. Coach Sherry Winn, a two-time Olympian, national championship basketball coach and two-time Amazon best-selling book writer, also gave an inspiring presentation on leadership.
