School website updated for user-friendliness

Using a visual of the hcosd.org website, Holyoke School District website coordinator Stefan Betley gave an update at the Aug. 17 school board meeting on the work he has completed this summer to make the website more usable.

He noted that the photos on the landing site will be updated when school starts.

Betley has updated the elementary school and JR/SR high landing pages with useful links on the left side of each.

The elementary page features a “Dragons Soar” graphic, along with bell and lunch/recess schedules. The updated JR/SR high page is in a similar format with a “Rise to Excellence” graphic and a bell schedule.

Betley highlighted the new Homegrown Talent Initiative page that he and HTI lead coordinator Summer Maloney will continue to add content to throughout the school year.

A Holyoke athletics and activities page will include photos and updates, and links to handbooks will be featured on the website as well.

Additionally, links are available for such things as financial transparency, gym renovation, committees and organizations, transportation, Student-Centered Accountability Program and more.
