Students give a shoutout to the teachers they miss
They may be meeting and communicating via video and email, but students and teachers seem to be in agreement that it’s just not the same as seeing each other in person.
Last Friday night, May 8, a honk and wave drive-by event gave them all a chance for some in-person interaction from a safe social distance. Holyoke School District teachers and staff lined the sidewalk around the athletic fields, and families and community members drove by to show their appreciation with signs, waving, honking, shouting and even candy.
