Students of the Month

Students of the Month for September at Holyoke JR/SR High School have been named. They are freshman Azury Chaparro Rangel, nominated by Wendy Grothman, and seventh grader Hudson Koellner, nominated by Lori Nelson.

The nomination letter for Chaparro Rangel read, “Azury follows all of the RISE In Excellence in the classroom. She is respectful and responsible. She shows academic integrity. She tries her best in everything she does and shoots for excellence in every part of her life. She follows the classroom rules for safety and reminds others to follow them too. She is a leader in her class and volunteers to be a part of other groups.”

Koellner’s letter read, “I have had the pleasure of being able to work with Hudson in my Junior Achievement class this year. Everything that Hudson has done in my class, from being on time and ready to work, being attentive, and getting along with others has been positive. Hudson excels in the classroom by listening, fully participating, and performing highly on all work. He is respectful of all students and adults and upholds high standards. I look forward to working with Hudson over the next several years, as I know he will continue to excel in everything he does, whether it be in the classroom, organizations, ball field, or workplace.”
