Students of the Month

Students of the Month for March at Holyoke JR/SR High School have been named. They are freshman Leslie Carrasco and eighth grader Cody Maloney. Both students were nominated by English teacher Charlene Kleve.

The nomination for Carrasco read, “Leslie is a go-getter who is the first to volunteer to help anyone. It does not matter if it is a teacher, staff, or other students. She knows her strengths and limitations and is always willing to ask for help if she needs it, but never gives up. Leslie ensures that whatever she starts she finishes and does it with gusto. She is a hard worker with a heart of gold.”

Maloney’s letter read, “Cody is a hard worker who is always asking questions to learn. He always wants to complete what he is doing to the best of his abilities. Cody is a leader in his class and regularly helps other students with questions about work once he fully understands it. Cody is the first to volunteer for things and participates with his whole heart in everything he does. He treats his peers and teachers with respect. Cody is always concerned that everyone is included and not left out.”
