3 earn basketball all-state recognition

Three Dragon basketball players have been named to this year’s all-state teams, presented by CHSAANow.com, ColoradoPreps.com and MaxPreps.

The lists were created following a lengthy process that included nominations from leagues and then a vote of coaches.

HHS junior Kristin Vieselmeyer was selected for the 2A girls first team, and junior Lauren Herman was listed on the second team.

Junior Ethan Johnson earned honorable mention for 2A boys.

Trista Marx of Limon was the 2A girls player of the year along with coach of the year Bart O’Dwyer of Limon.
