3 Lady Dragons on All-State list

The Colorado 2A All-State girls basketball teams were announced by CHSAANow.com, Colorado Preps.com and MaxPreps last week.

Holyoke sophomore Kristin Vieselmeyer was one of five to be named to the All-State first team.

Emily Jelden, a Holyoke senior, was one of five players on the second team list.

Earning honorable mention was Holyoke sophomore Lauren Herman.

Other area players on the honorable mention list were Tabby Jones and Abby Shay of Wray, Trinity Perry of Burlington and Ema Richardson of Yuma.

Kendra Parra of Del Norte was the 2A player of the year, and coach of the year was Bart O’Dwyer of Limon.

The teams were created following a lengthy process that included nominations from leagues and then a vote of coaches.
