4 golf at Ballyneal Hundred Hole Hike

Four golfers found themselves at Ballyneal June 19, raising funds for various charities through the Hundred Hole Hike. One, Brandon Urban of Minneapolis, teed off at 4:45 a.m., finished 100 holes before 1:30 p.m. and went on to complete a total of 181 in a single day, blowing past his goal of 144. By the time he finished at 9:13 p.m., he had logged over 48 miles walked. More importantly, the four raised a total of approximately $25,000 for the charities of their choice.

Urban golfed for the Association from X and Y Chromosome Variations. Gary Albrecht of Denver golfed 128 holes, raising money for Double H Ranch, a New York camp that provides programs and year-round support for children dealing with life-threatening illnesses. With some pledges depending on his performance, Albrecht made 24 birdies and three eagles.

Josh Bills of Columbus, Ohio, played 117 holes for Champaign Family YMCA Camp Shiffer.
