6 HHS football players earn honors

Six Holyoke High School athletes have been honored with selection to the North Central All-Conference football list this season.

Lineman senior Joey Beckner, in addition to being Holyoke’s first team defense pick, was also named lineman of the year.

Holyoke’s first team offense picks were back junior Miles Sprague; linemen junior Aidyn Shafer and junior Cade Killin; and receiver/tight end freshman Wyatt Sprague.

Senior Ethan Andersen received honorable mention.

Other athletes on the first team offense were backs Jeremiah Leeper of Limon, Tyler Collins of Wray and Clay Robinson of Yuma; linemen Parker Franz of Burlington, Jeiven Gonzalez of Highland, Jose Ruiz of Yuma and Kaysen Schmidt of Limon; receivers/tight ends Alex Carr of Limon, Bryant Shoenthal of Wray and Kyle Howard of Highland; and athlete Michael Gutierrez of Burlington.
