Backyard baseball gives young athletes role models to look up to

Backyard baseball may not have the usual rigor associated with Holyoke’s summer ball program, but its benefits are still quite apparent. Twice a week, kids have the chance to socialize with their peers, exercise and work on their baseball basics. And if Paige Jaeger is any indication, the coaches like Victoria Dunker give local youth someone to look up to as well.
