Badgers sweep Dragons

Saturday’s softball games ended with two Dragon losses to the Limon Badgers, the games ending in four innings with the scores of 15-2 and 14-0. The losses dropped the Dragon record to 4-6 on the season.

Holyoke 2, Limon 15

Holyoke got out to a quick start in the first game, scoring a run in the top of the first inning, but Limon answered with four of their own in the bottom half of the frame.

After a walk, a hit batter and a single, the Dragons were able to load the bases in the top of the second inning with nobody out.

Haley Van Overbeke then came to the plate and drew a two-out walk, plating the Dragons’ second and final run of the game.

The Badgers scored six runs in the bottom of the second due to timely hits with runners on base.
