Beckner named to Scholar-Athlete All State Football
Holyoke student-athlete Joe Beckner has the prestigious honor of being selected as a candidate for the 2020 Scholar-Athlete All State Football Team.
This recognition has been awarded to student-athletes by the Colorado chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame each year since it was chartered in July of 1992. The first class was honored in the spring of 1993.
In past years, a banquet has been hosted to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of the winners. While 2020-21 has been challenged by COVID-19 protocols, this year’s winners will be introduced and honored at the state spring football championships in Pueblo the weekend of May 15.
Beckner has been a key lineman for the Dragon football team during his high school years. He is the son of Bryan and Erika Beckner of Holyoke.
