Boys b-ball bound for playoffs

Holyoke boys basketball wrapped up their regular season and qualified for the playoffs with a 7-7 record. As No. 19, they traveled to face No. 14 Meeker on Tuesday, March 9. Results will appear in next week’s Enterprise.

The winner of Tuesday’s first-round game will travel to No. 3 Peyton on Thursday, March 11.

The Dragons defeated Burlington 47-33 on Tuesday, March 2, and fell to Limon 64-46 on Friday, March 5, to finish the regular season.

Coach Marcus Kammer said he feels positive about moving into the playoffs after having faced top teams such as Wray and Limon during the regular season.

“We’re excited to have this opportunity,” Kammer said, adding that the Dragons are battle-tested after their difficult regular season schedule. “We’re going to go in with the mindset that we have nothing to lose and everything to gain,” he said.
