Brinkema and Krogmeier named Coach and Swimmer of the Year

    Holyoke turned heads with more honors after the Tri-Valley Conference Saturday, Feb. 4, when coach Aly Brinkema was voted Tri-Valley Conference Coach of the Year, a title shared with Windsor’s coach Amanda Schneider, and Emily Krogmeier was voted Swimmer of the Year for the conference.
    Coaches are nominated and voted upon by their fellow coaches at the meet. Officials conducted two revotes to try to break the tie between the Holyoke and Windsor coaches, but were unsuccessful.
    Brinkema, who has always admired Schneider, humbly said that to share the title with her only made the honor more memorable.
