Buckley Bombers invited to world series

The local Buckley Bombers baseball team has been invited to a 16-18-year-old world series in Mobile, Alabama. The Bombers will compete against other teams from across the country July 31-Aug. 5.

The Buckley Bombers team, based in Chappell, Nebraska, is made up of athletes from Phillips, Yuma, Logan and Morgan counties in Colorado and Duell and Keith counties in Nebraska. They are coached by Marcus Kammer, Sam Distefano and Collyn Heinz.
