Carrasco nabs win in Friday night Dragon wrestling

Dragon Angel Carrasco picked up a win by a pin in action with University High School at Platte Valley on Friday, Feb. 5.

The triangular also featured a dual with Platte Valley.

In dual competition, the action starts with a selected weight class, not necessarily the lightest 106-lb. class.

Competing in the 182-lb. class, with only three heavier weight divisions, Carrasco is not used to going first.

But he started the action off right Friday against University when he pinned his man in 3:15.

Holyoke lost the other two matches in which they matched up with University wrestlers.

HHS won by a forfeit in one class in which University didn’t have a wrestler, while University picked up six wins by forfeit.
