Rookie sensation Laney Bellm, 17, a high school senior has 2 championship races Friday night at Phillips County Raceway. Bellm is 4 points behind Kyle Clough, the Nebraska farmer going into Friday night’s championship. Bellm will also be competing for a championship on Saturday at I-76 Speedway. Champions to be crowned Friday

Championship night for International Motor Contest Association and the Tri-State Tour takes place this Friday night, Sept. 16, starting at 7 p.m. at the Phillips County Raceway in Holyoke. It will be the final night for racers to earn points at PCR.

Drivers will compete for the top spots in all five IMCA divisions: modifieds, stock cars, sport mods, hobby stocks and sport compacts. Dwarfs will be racing, as well.

Champions will be crowned from the following point standings:

— Phillips County: Mods: Brett Smith 248, Don Geist 220, Brandon Clough 213, Ayden Steffans 203. Stock cars: Kyle Clough 280, Layne Bellm 276. Sport mods: Joseph Cooper 286, Danny Concelman 278. Hobby stocks: Hunter Smith 289, Tanner Clough 259. Compacts: Brock Leibhart 64, Cayden Rosler 31.
