Colorado HS football still in discussion stages for this fall

Consideration for a fall football season this year is still on the table for Colorado High School Activities Association. A decision will be made this week.

Friday evening, Sept. 11, athletic directors and superintendents received surveys from the Colorado High School Activities Association with regard to playing football in Season A this fall. Surveys were due by Monday, Sept. 14, at 10 a.m.

The CHSAA Board of Directors emphasized that the survey purpose is not to provide false hope, but to gather information and provide direction to the board.

First, the approval of safety plans and variances must be secured, in writing, from Gov. Jared Polis’ COVID response team. Then, with the additional voices from the CHSAA survey, decisions will be made by the CHSAA board.
