County rivals to face off on the gridiron
It’s always sure to be an energetic competition when Holyoke and Haxtun meet up for a sporting event of any kind. This Friday, Sept. 2, will be no different as the Dragons will host the Bulldogs in a 7 p.m. football game. The contest will serve as Haxtun’s season opener and Holyoke’s first home game.
The Bulldogs were the 8-man state champs last year and are certainly looking to have another successful season.
In last week’s game in Strasburg, Holyoke lost 37-6. The home team had a very strong running game, netting 265 rushing yards.
