Dirks named Player of the Conference

The boys golf team is constantly improving as they edge closer to the end of their season.

On Monday, Sept. 12, four boys traveled to Sterling for the league tournament. Holyoke placed third overall.

Ty Dirks, who was part of a three-way tie for first with a score of 85, led the team. Dirks was named to the All Conference team and earned the Player of the Conference honor.

Caiden Krueger shot a 103 and placed 16th, Cooper Goldenstein shot a 109 and got 20th place, and Chase Johnson shot a 114 and got 28th.

 The varsity team will compete in the regional tournament Sept. 20. Coach Colbey Stumpf said, “I am excited to see how the rest of the season plays out.”
