Dragon baseball falls to Tigers

Dragon baseball hosted the Wiggins Tigers on May 10. Though the Tigers won 13-2 and 24-13, coach Jimmy French said that both games were much closer than the final scores indicated.

“I was pleased to see a lot of players step up and contribute who haven’t had as many opportunities yet, but they did well with the chances they were given,” French said.

Holyoke 2, Wiggins 13

Holyoke’s infield came out strong last Tuesday and quickly put away Wiggins’ first three batters. With the Dragons at bat, Reid Sprague scored the first run of the game.

In the second inning, the Tigers tied it up. They went on to add five runs in the third, two in the fourth and five more in the fifth, extending their lead to 13-1 going into the bottom of the fifth inning.
