Dragon baseball loses by 1 in Byers

    For a final game before the district tournament, Holyoke Dragons traveled to Byers Saturday, May 6. After gaining a lead in the middle of the game, HHS lost a close one to the Bulldogs, 6-7.
    
Holyoke 6, Byers 7
    Byers took an early lead in Saturday’s varsity game, holding HHS at 0 and scoring one run in the bottom of the first. Blake Mosenteen pitched first for the Dragons.
    Neither team was able to score in the second, but Holyoke added three runs in the third, including a home run hit by Brenden Kage. Byers went on to score two in the bottom of the inning.
    Tied at 3, Holyoke was back at bat. The team scored one, but Byers pulled ahead in the bottom of the inning, scoring three runs and bringing the score to 6-4.
