Dragon volleyball falls to Highland
After a long trip to Ault, Holyoke High School’s varsity volleyball team faced a similarly long match that went to five sets against Highland. In the end, the home team won the Sept. 21 contest 3-2 (25-19, 23-25, 21-25, 25-19, 15-10).
The two teams seemed quite evenly matched, as each of the five sets was rather close. In the first, Highland narrowly won 25-19. The Dragons took the loss in stride and came back with a vengeance. In the second set, they edged out Highland for a 25-23 win.
Despite going into the fourth set with the upper hand, the Dragon fire was put out when Highland caught up with a 25-19 win and won the match with a final 15-10 set.
