Dragons 2-2 after Hershey

The Holyoke High School football team played its final nonleague game last Friday and Saturday, Sept. 16 and 17, coming home with a 32-19 win over the Hershey Panthers.

This week the Dragons have a bye, and they will begin league competition Friday, Sept. 30, at 7 p.m. in Wray.

Friday night in Hershey, Nebraska, the players made it through one quarter before weather brought the game to a halt. The delay ended up pushing the remainder of the game to Saturday morning, so the Dragons once again made the trek to Nebraska.

At the time of the delay, the Panthers led 6-0, having scored a touchdown just prior to the delay. Back on the field the following day after an injury the night before, Holyoke quarterback Wyatt Sprague made a 46-yard touchdown pass to Cash Weber to tie up the game with 10:41 left in the first half.
