Dragons bring home first season win

On April 9, the Holyoke High School baseball team made the long trek to Northglenn to play Flatirons Academy. At the end of the day, the Dragons won 10-4 and brought home their first win of the season — and the first win since before the pandemic.

Though HHS hadn’t won any games prior to last Saturday, there were a couple very close ones, and it was clear the team was itching for a W. Coach Jimmy French commented, “It was really good to see all the hard work we’ve been putting in pay off and to give our guys the chance to experience a win.”

French commended his players for playing really well in all the phases of the game. “We made some great plays in the field, we pitched well, and we had some big hits and good at-bats,” he said.

Following the varsity game, there was a JV scrimmage.
